About the Show

In his magnificent Athenian mansion, fun-loving and reckless Philolaches fritters away his family’s fortune on parties and pleasure. Then, his father unexpectedly returns from a three year trip abroad. Quick-thinking Tranio invents a story that the house is haunted and has been abandoned. What follows is a whirlwind of lies, disguises, and close calls as Tranio scrambles to keep the truth under wraps. Mostellaria is a fast-paced, mischievous comedy where schemes unravel, secrets surface, and laughter haunts every scene. A classic farce that proves family drama is truly timeless.
