Back to work!

That’s right. Summer’s over. Womp womp. Everyone in denial will try their darndest to squeeze out every last bit of their summer toothpaste by going to the state fair and having one last bbq and procrastinating on sending out a monthly newsletter.

But forward ever forward, so to commemorate the shift from funny-business to business-business, we’re presenting our very own version of a 24-ish hour kinda-play-sorta festival. (We can’t call it a 24 Hour Play Festival because apparently that’s copyrighted, and they came after Theater Mu for it once upon a time. Ask Kevin about it, it was so dumb)

Hosted by Carlyn Grande and Kevin Duong, the whistle of The Play Factory calls us back to work.

Three sets of playwrights, directors, and casts race against the clock to forge fully-formed productions all within two days. Starting at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, our creative assembly line kicks into high gear. When the final bell rings at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, all three brand-new short plays perform for a live audience, whether they're ready or not.

We hope you’ll join us for the performances! Who knows, maybe we’ll witness the beginnings of the next great American play. Who knows, maybe we’ll experience something deliciously terrible.

Either way, this event is dedicated to everyone starting new jobs, classes, and relationships.
